Burna Boy set to become seventh Nigerian to win the Grammy Award.




Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, professionally known as Burna Boy is set to make Nigeria proud at this year's Grammy Awards.

The Grammy Awards which is the highest award pertaining to music has been the wish of many to lift. The award which depicts a gilded gramophone is an award presented by the Recording Academy to recognize achievements in the music industry.

The award which was first presented on May 4th 1959, six decades ago has established itself over the years as the highest level of award in music.



The 62nd Annual Grammy Awards will take place at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles on 26th January 2020 and it's drama and excitement hopes to continue.

Nigerian musical act, Burna Boy has been nominated for the award this year and all hopes are on him to make Nigeria and Africa proud as a whole.

The "On The Low" hit makers "African Giant" album has been nominated in the category of the World Best Music Album and high hopes are on the "African Giant" to bring the award to the motherland.



The Grammy Award World Best Music Album is an honor presented to music artistes for quality works in the World Music genre.

Burna Boy is set to become the seventh Nigerian musical act to lift the prestigious award after being lifted by six Nigerians artistes.

Sikiru Adepoju, Olusegun Olumide Adeola Samuel known as Seal, Lekan Babalola, Kevin Olusola, Hakeem Seriki known as Chamillionaire and  Helen Folasade Adu known as Sade Adu have all lifted the prestigious award.
